SERVYECO, Serviecología and water treatment, sl located on Carretera Castellón-Alcora Km 19.5 in the town of L'Alcora (Castellón), is a company specializing in integrated water management and the environment, with extensive experience in research and development of innovative for the preservation of our environment.
From SERVYECO face new environmental challenges by providing comprehensive solutions, responding to market needs.
Servyeco lab consists of a team of technologists and analysts comprising chemists, biologists and pharmacists with high qualification and technical capacity to design sampling plans, test procedures and evaluation of the results, allowing us to offer a wide variety of services in the analysis and advice, to the maximum extent technically and from the strictest confidence and independence.
Our laboratory is associated organization of the Water Administration of the Ministry of Environment, for the control of water discharges and are accredited by ENAC for control and water quality. Besides having the record for Public Health to work in other areas such as drinking water, food, pools, environmental, and prevention and control of Legionella.
Available to our customers is always our technical team to help interpret and advise on the results, focusing on compliance with the law.
Here are the different types of analyzes performed in the laboratory, divided according to existing legal requirements:
Analysis of legionella in compliance with Royal Decree 865/2003.
It is known to prevent Legionella, Management by Royal Decree 865/2003 establishes the obligation for each company owning the facilities described in Article 2 of the responsibility for compliance with the provisions of this Royal Decree and to be carried out periodic maintenance programs, structural and functional improvements of facilities and quality control of microbiological and physico-chemical water, so you do not pose a public health risk.
Servyeco lab has a long experience in microbiological testing for legionella and leading performing this type of analysis since 1998 and is also the reference laboratory Valencia.
The analysis to be performed and their frequency varies depending on the type of installation. In indoor hot water, an analysis of post-disinfection legionella in hot water network, on an annual basis.
In facilities that have cooling towers and evaporative condensers, will be a quarterly analysis of legionella and other analysis fortnight after disinfection.
In addition, monthly characterization should be conducted both physical-chemical and microbiological water. At a minimum, determine the temperature, pH, conductivity, turbidity, and total iron level daily chlorine or biocide used.
Moreover, contain, if necessary, other parameters that are considered useful in the determination of water quality or effectiveness of the maintenance program of water treatment.
When changes are detected in the physicochemical parameters that measure water quality, reviewing the water treatment program and take the necessary measures. When changes are detected in the total count of aerobic and disinfectant level, will proceed to make a determination of Legionella, and shall, where appropriate, the necessary corrective measures to recover the system conditions.
Analysis of wastewater discharge
The legal obligation to perform analysis of discharge depends on several factors, some of which are:
 Authorization type available to the company (Integrated Environmental Authorisation or Environmental Communication Environmental License)
 type of activity you do the installation.
 Pour Point (municipal sewage, septic, public water, etc).
 spill source (health, industrial or both)
For facilities that have an Integrated Environmental Authorisation will follow the requirements outlined therein. These resolutions often indicate the type of discharge made by the company, the source of its water, analyzing parameters, discharge limits, and the timing of delivery of the analysis to the appropriate entity.
For installations that do not have integrated environmental authorization, you can give the following cases:
- The landfill is only home health.
If the discharge occurs at the sewage, the limits to meet the levels specified in the relevant ordinance. More and more companies that perform self-monitoring of their discharge, especially in the case of companies that have an environmental management system such as ISO 14001.
If the discharge into public waterways occurs, the limits to meet the levels specified in the discharge permit issued by the Environment Agency Confederation. In no case may make a discharge to public water if the facility does not have such authorization.
- The landfill is exclusively of industrial origin.
If the discharge occurs at the sewage, to meet the limits as in the case of a sanitary landfill of origin, shall be as indicated in the relevant ordinance.
Currently there is no legislation requiring water analysis presented to the institution concerned, but in recent years, many facilities have a legal obligation to control their waste disposal, for this, the company is notified of the relevant municipal council in the determinations set out to perform as well as its limits and schedule.
If the discharge into public waterways occurs, the limits to meet the levels specified in the discharge permit issued by the Hydrographic Confederation Reported As in the case of home health discharge, although in this case it is very unlikely to grant a discharge permit for a public water discharge from industrial sources.
Therefore, the entity responsible for the analysis of landfill request to the site concerned, depends on the point of discharge function is performed.
The analysis must be performed by pouring Collaborating Organisation of water administration. The laboratory has the title since 2009. We also have an accreditation issued by ENAC.
Analysis of water for human consumption
The RD 140/2003 regulates the health criteria to be met by drinking water and facilities that allow their supply from catchment to the consumer's tap, in order to protect the health of people and the adverse effects of any type of water pollution.
All waters characterized as water for human consumption according to RD 140/2003 should perform a series of self-sampling. The periods of each of the analysis determines in general the health authorities in the case of the food industry.
For the calculation of the frequency in the case of water supplied from a distribution network, you can use l number of people served, considering an average strength of 200 liters per capita per day.
Annex V of the RD 140/2003 determines the minimum number of samples per year to perform depending on the volume of water treated per day in m3.
Analysis of pools
Another service offered by the laboratory Servyeco is advising both like the analysis of pools as regulated by law.
The legal obligations of public swimming pools are regulated by the Autonomous Community through decrees.
In those decrees regulating the sanitary conditions of the collective use swimming pools and facilities and sanitary quality and water treatment thereof.
Surface Analysis
Although at present there is no legislation governing the legal analysis of surfaces that must perform an installation, if there is an obligation in some sectors, the analysis of surfaces at least in facilities such as public swimming pools or food companies.
The parameters to be performed and the periodicities always vary depending on the type of installation, historical results and sometimes the technician of public administration.
It is very common to make determinations of aerobic and Enterobacteriaceae on surfaces, both the limits and the periodicities of analysis can establish the facility prior technical justification.
The laboratory has several approvals Servyeco among which is the Authorization for Public Health of the Generalitat Valenciana, the certification of a quality management system according to UNE-EN ISO 9001:2008 and accredited by ENAC according to the criteria set in the UNE-EN ISO / IEC 17025 for testing physical, chemical and microbiological.
The Servyeco laboratory offers a sample collection, rapid and effective (less than 24 hours), which allows the input samples to the laboratory while maintaining the quality of the samples and decreasing the risk of any incident thereon. We worked with major transit agencies nationwide, which through a phone call personan customer's premises to carry out the collection of the sample.
