PILOT PLANTS

Our company guarantees its installations and, with the goal of ensuring the proper functioning of those installations, we propose preliminary studies to our clients prior to the execution of projects. For that purpose, our R+D department has been continually developing pilot plants for laboratory demonstrations and mobile plants equipped with the latest technological advances, which we dispatch to wherever our client is located. Selecting the best available technology (BAT) allow us to reduce costs and unnecessary risks, providing a guaranteed solution to complex problems in the industrial water area.

Colloidal solids elimination plant.

This consists of a physico-chemical treatment for the elimination, fundamentally, of the suspended solids and heavy metals present in wastewater. A coagulation, flocculation and decanting of the solids is carried out in this treatment. The pH adjustment is essential for increasing the basicity of the medium and favours the precipitation of the heavy metals.

The pilot plant also incorporates a dehydration treatment of the sludge obtained through filter bags. This is an ideal method for small-scale treatment installations.

Non-biodegradable organic material elimination plant.

Organic material that is not biodegradable or difficult to biodegrade (recalcitrant COD) is costly to eliminate through conventional biological treatments.

The treatment used in this pilot treatment plant is photocatalytic oxidisation using ozone (PCO).
By using this photocatalytic oxidation with ozone process, we guarantee the elimination of non-biodegradable organic material (recalcitrant COD) at an affordable cost for any type of industry.

Boron and other organic and inorganic compounds elimination plant.

Selective ion exchange allows us to eliminate certain compounds existing in the water.
Depending on the type of resin we use for ion exchange, we can separate many metals and compounds such as boron from the water.

Elimination is carried out through a column of selective ion exchange. Regeneration of the resins is carried out by an acid (hydrochloric or sulphuric acid) and/or a base (soda).

The selective ion exchange resin is located in a bottle made of fibreglass-reinforced plastic (FRP), with a volume valve and an impulse emission meter.
