Chemicals for waste water | Introduction

Servyeco has more than 20 years of experience in research and development of innovative chemicals for the treatment of industrial and urban wastewater. The company designs a wide range of products in our laboratories, dedicating important technological and human resources to develop them. Servyeco participates in many European programs in collaboration with universities and technological centres. In our production facilities of 7,000 m2 we manufacture, through a rigorous certified quality system, the most advanced chemicals, in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way.

Our treatment chemicals allow adapting our customers’ wastewaters to reach legal and technical requirements necessary for disposal or reuse. Servyeco manufactures chemicals according to the needs of each client, designing customized products.

Application: Processes and treatments

The chemicals are applied in a wide range of industrial (IWWTP) and urban (WWTP) wastewater treatment plants as well as drinking water treatment plant (DWTP), including pre-treatment, primary, secondary and tertiary treatments. Servyeco offers a comprehensive solution in coagulation-flocculation physical-chemical processes, including primary, secondary and settling treatments and, on the other hand, in biological digestion treatments, sludge dewatering and subsequent water disinfection. Servyeco uses a wide range of coagulants, flocculants, defoamers, metals and fluorides precipitators, bleaching agents, multifunctional products, enzymes, bacteria and disinfectant products.

Products selection

In order to select the most suitable product for the customer needs, we propose a study before the technical and economic proposal, including a technical audit of the client facilities and wastewater analysis. The most efficient products are then tested in our laboratories (JAR-TEST), in our semi-industrial scale pilot plant or in the customer facilities. This way the technical department suggests an alternative treatment in order to improve water quality and reduce operating costs, reagent and energy consumption. Additionally, waste management should be reduced due to an improved sludge dewatering process, further increasing the lifetime of the plant and pipelines by using less aggressive products. The risk of sanctions for uncontrolled discharges is also reduced, favouring reuse and reducing water consumption, preserving the workers health with the use of less harmful products and more environmentally friendly.

After-sales service and strict control of water quality is guaranteed by our experts. Servyeco is equipped with the most advanced analytical instrumentation, approved by administration laboratories. Additionally, our technical experts can also determine the water quality in the customer’s facilities using portable equipments, allowing us to offer an efficient management of its wastewater.

Our customers

The Urban Wastewater Treatment Plants and Drinking Water Treatment Plants are mainly located in population centres. These facilities are usually managed directly by the government or private utilities. Engineering and treatments are comparable since the characteristics of the effluent are very similar.

On the other hand, in Industrial Wastewater Treatment Plants the water diversity is very high in terms of both engineering and wastewater characteristics, as each production process is different. Thus, generated wastewater requires specific treatment based on physical and chemical processes, by settling or flotation, and sludge dewatering, by centrifuges, filter presses or filter band. Among others, our main customers are found in the following production sectors: automotive, paint, glass, ceramics, frits and glazes, healthcare, chemical, petrochemical, pharmacy, food industry (slaughterhouses, intensive farming, processing of meat products, farms, preserves, pickles, mills, industry derived from dairy products, coffee products, ice cream, beverages, industrial baking, washing and processing of vegetables and fruits, nuts, sugar producers, prepared food, frozen,...), textiles, tanning, energy (thermal plants, producing biodiesel or solar thermal power plants,...) paper and cardboard, metal-mechanic sector, mining, natural stone, PET plastic recycling, industrial laundries and waste managers (treatment plants, transfer centres, manure treatment, landfills,...). Experience and knowledge in every sector is the base to provide the most appropriate treatment.
