Natural Coagulants

BEWAT

is a liquid biopolymer designed and produced by SERVYECO for wastewater treatment. Our new patented molecule allows us to produce a series of plant based coagulants with multifunctional character, high positive charge density and low molecular weight. These coagulants are based on natural extracts obtained mainly from sustainably grown trees and plants.

BEWAT© is more environmentally friendly compared to aluminium polychloride or ferric chloride, due to its organic nature and its high degree of biodegradability. It does not add metals to the water or sludge, so the products are non-corrosive and non-irritant, making it safer for those who handle it and for storage and transport.

BEWAT© products have been certified throughout an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD®) carried out by an international, objective and third-party independent body. The EPD® provides a reliable, relevant, transparent, comparable and verifiable environmental profile that allows SERVYECO to highlight that the range of BEWAT© natural coagulants are environmentally friendly products, based on the Life Cycle Assessment and in accordance with international standards, in this case the UNE-EN ISO 14025 standard.

BEWAT© facilitates the reuse of water as it does not increase conductivity, thus preventing corrosion in the metallic parts of hydraulic circuits. In addition, as the sludge generated is free of metals it can be reused more easily for agricultural purposes. When used for biogas production, it increases energy efficiency.

BEWAT© stands out significantly compared to other natural-based products on the market, as its molecule is more active and efficient. Our latest developments enable us to manufacture concentrated liquid products, with up to 45% active matter, allowing its dilution, reducing transport costs and the carbon footprint.

Our patented chemical reaction allows us to purify the product to the maximum, achieving the lowest levels of acidity and formaldehyde in the market, which differentiates it from others as a non-irritant and non-corrosive product.
